Reflection

The main project during the synchronous week was a group unit of learning plan, individual lesson plans and a group presentation on the last day- Friday. Access the full package here.

We were a group of intelligent, helpful, empathetic, and hard-working individuals who made it through a very in-depth assignment together. There were five of us, including myself, Bailey Lo, Emma Skytta, Jessie Sorensen, Michelle To, and Joanna Yang.

This assignment was extremely valuable learning too for 21st century making. This was the first time I had created such an in depth lesson plan, as I did not experience teacher training and a BA in education. My undergrad was in leadership, and my teaching experience is in conducting workshops. I can see the value of using the same template for my practice in the future.

Before our first presentation, two of our team went to set up the other room and digital tools. The rest of us stayed behind in the main classroom to decide who would be presenting which piece of the presentation. We received feedback that it would have been nice if all of the members presented.

In creating the lesson plan, I incorporated what I have learned in this course about E.D.I.D.A lenses and will use this knowledge in future teaching opportunities.
